KSO Raja-Pertagas Successfully Tested First Oil Distribution of Rokan Pipeline Project

A leading oil and gas company, PT Rukun Raharja, Tbk through a Joint Operation (KSO) with PT Pertamina Gas has completed the Rokan Oil Pipeline Project. This was followed by a trial of distributing the first oil in from Duri Crude CGS10 to the Dumai Meter Station. The first distribution trial was carried out on January 27, 2022 at Duri Crude CGS10. The oil arrived at the Dumai Meter Station on January 31, 2022. A total of 18,781 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) of oil from PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan were flowed in the trial.

In December 2021, the entire construction of the Rokan oil pipeline (mechanical completion pipeline) with a total pipe length of 342 km and 13 pipeline segments has been successfully completed. In January 2022, project work will continue to the next stage, namely the commissioning phase by conducting a pilot oil distribution trial in the CGS10 Duri segment to the Dumai Meter Station. After testing the flow in the CGS10 Duri segment to the Dumai Meter Station, then a second commissioning will be carried out in the CGS1, 3 and 5 Duri Segments.

As a form of gratitude for the completion of the construction and the smooth running of the initial distribution test, the Rokan Heavy Oil Duri – Dumai Pipeline Test Ceremony was held at the Dumai Meter Station on Thursday (03/02/2022). The ceremony was attended by several representatives from KSO, SKK Migas, PT PGN Tbk, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) and PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR).

While attending the event the Director of PT Rukun Raharja, Tbk Mr. Oka Lesmana said "Participating in the KSO for the construction of the Rokan Pipeline Project is one of the important milestones in the Company's business, but apart from that, this participation is also a form of full support to the Government for the stability of national oil production. , where currently the Rokan Block contributes around 24% to national oil production. Of course we hope that not only the Rokan Pipe Project, the Company will continue to develop other potential collaborations so that they can contribute more to the fulfillment of national energy.”

Rokan Oil Pipeline crosses 5 regencies/cities and 38 villages in Riau. Rokan Oil Pipeline is divided into two parts, namely the northern line connecting the Balam - Bangko - Dumai Corridor, and the southern route connecting the Minas - Duri - Dumai Corridor. This project succeeded in recording 4,045,342 safe working hours, without accidents until the project was completed in January 2022. This achievement was achieved due to the high awareness of the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) aspects of all employees in the project environment.
